James K. Burk
James
K. Burk (also known as THE James K. Burk) was born many moons ago and any real
information about the man has been lost to the pages of history. There are
rumors that he was a special agent with the CIA back when it was called the OSS,
but then again, there are also rumors that he was actually one of the surviving
aliens from the Roswell crash in 1947, which would actually explain a lot.
Seriously, Jim is a great guy and a terrific writer who has also worked as a
critic/reviewer. We're glad he's writing more fiction these days.
Like most writers, Jim has had many different jobs, but his favorite was being a Sunday gunman at an amusement park where he usually played the villain or the village idiot, which he claims is typecasting. We're not sure if he means the villain or the idiot, but don't let his self deprecating humor fool you; James K. Burk is one of the good guys and while he may have been born at night, it was not last night. He's sharp and talented, so give his work a try; you won't regret it.
If you meet him at a science fiction convention or anywhere else for that matter, be warned that he's usually armed with pictures of his children and grandchildren, and he's not afraid to use them!
At the moment, Jim is working on a very cool novel called The Twelve.
