Kathy Brandt fell in love with the mystery genre after reading Nancy Drew books as a child and knew that eventually, she'd write her own stories.  As she and her husband are certified divers and spend a great deal of time in the Caribbean, it made sense for her to set her mystery series there.  Hannah Simpson is a police diver handling underwater crime investigations.

She has a BA in English and an MA in Rhetoric and Composition.  She taught non-fiction writing for ten years at the University of Colorado and has had dozens of articles published in various magazines.

When she's not diving in the Caribbean, she makes her home in the mountains of Colorado.
